Herman's training, intensity, and dry humor have led to highly praised performances of richly flawed and complex characters. His personal interests include reading, and cooking. An avid hiker, he has trekked up several of Colorado's Fourteeners and has done significant hikes in several states. Traveling is another passion, and he has visited parts of Asia, South and Central America, Mexico, and many countries in Europe. He is a sucker for anything that flies and has been airborne in everything from a vintage open-cockpit canvas plane to a hot air balloon, a glider over the Pacific, and under a parachute. In addition to acting, Herman has extensive directing, writing, and casting credits in theatre and film. In 2019, he was given the 'best actor' award at the Chesapeake Film Festival for his work in The Land. Herman is originally from Billings, Missouri. He now lives in Albuquerque, NM, having spent several years in Kansas City and Los Angeles.
And he's always ready to talk about his grandchildren...
